RECONSTRUCTION SERVICES

Our Guide to the Water Damage Restoration Process

Call your plumber to fix the leak.

Step 1

Thunder & Lightning Services will assess the water damage. Our IICRC Certified Technician will perform moisture readings, and create a drying plan. We’ll handle water extraction if needed.

Step 2

Set up your insurance claim. We’ll guide you through the process.

Step 3

If your house is older than 1985, we’ll refer you to an environmental testing company for lead and asbestos testing, which can be billed to your insurance.

Positive Test Results: We’ll refer you to an abatement company.

Negative Test Results: We’ll begin demolition if needed.

Pack Out

If contents need to be moved, we’ll refer you to a reliable company that works with your insurance.

Step 4

We’ll demo affected areas, apply antimicrobial treatment, and set up drying equipment. We monitor daily until IICRC dry standards are met.

Reconstruction

Once drying is complete, we’ll refer you to our sister company for reconstruction. They’ll work with your insurance for approval and completion.
